Is there Jive in Kiev?

OK, not strictly swing, but close.
Is there... modern Jive, ceroc, Le Roc etc? Or is the closest thing rockabilly, swing, lindy etc..?
I am English / Australian and in Kiev for 6 months studying Russian. Need to dance, and have danced Jive for 6 yrs or so.

Jive (джайв) is ballroom dancing (a little bit similar to East Coast swing). Swing is a social form of it.

I always thought Modern Jive was the social form !!
OK, sorry, when I say Jive I mean Modern Jive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_jive. Of course Jive is the generic term outside of America for swing, boogie etc.... but the swing people I know prefer to use their own words !
I am by no means at all any kind of expert but...
Swing was seen as primitive and vulgar and the ballroom people changed it to modern jive and included it. It's about as popular as salsa in the UK, Australia etc..
It's just that thousands of people do Modern Jive in England / Australia and only a very few swing / lindy / west coast (which is becoming popular). So when you say Jive people assume modern Jive. Basically it is easier to learn as the footwork is much simpler. You concentrate on dips, spinning, Ariel, speed, floor work.
When I watch dancing with the stars / so you think you can dance (I try not to as they are not very good dancers and I have a life) I think ... I know all these moves ! I guess because some of them have Modern Jive teachers.
I am a bit rusty, otherwise I should start my own class for the oligarchs, and maybe one day soon I have a Cayene

There are a lot of them in Kiev.

Hi, still here studying. After a bit of research Jive latin is not what I'm after, it's far to strict on rules etc, it seems that boogie woogie is the closest to modern jive or the style that interests me.
Where is a good place to dance boogie woogie in Kiev?
Which is likely to be the most English friendly class?
My russian dance vocabularly is limited to tantz, pyka, noga, raz,, dva, tre... and the other numbers but that's about it.

Well, all classes in Kyiv are Russian-speaking, but I think you can find a compromise with a teacher. We have several boogie-teachers, so I think they'll reply sooner or later))

We have lindy, boogie (very close to rock-roll, but the specialists of this district know better), shag, balboa, jazz movements and maybe smthelse of swing disciplines, oh, i remember West Coast Swing:D. But for sure, unfortunately, not Jive...
